Senet, a cloud-based software and services provider, has formed a partnership with Oman-based technology solutions provider Imtac.
With an initial focus on Smart City solutions, including lighting, asset tracking, water management and smart buildings, this collaboration illustrates the growing global adoption of LoRaWAN networks for applications that drive improvements in energy consumption, resource conservation and a variety of new and enhanced municipal services.
Imtac, through its IoT and Smart City brand Empyreal, integrates field assets and automation controls to monitor, manage and maintain industrial systems. By leveraging the low power and long-range characteristics of LoRaWAN and the advanced device and network management capabilities of Senet’s cloud-based IoT network services, the company is able to support a greater number of Smart City applications and deliver significant monetary savings and process automation opportunities to its customers.
Senet CEO Bruce Chatterley said: “Senet’s IoT device-to-cloud software and connectivity services help companies like Imtac instrument the physical world and deliver contextualized data to drive digital transformation.
“We are excited to be working with Imtac to accelerate the deployment of solutions designed to deliver enhanced services to citizens and businesses in the region.”
Imtac chief operating officer Mukesh Arora said: “The strategic partnership we are developing with Senet will allow us to extend our vision to include a greater number of Smart City applications in the Gulf region.
“LoRaWAN is widely recognized as the fastest growing protocol for global IoT connectivity and Senet brings the expertise and technology leadership we seek as we grow our ecosystem of IoT partners.”
Senet offers LoRaWAN network coverage and connectivity readiness in over 80 countries which can be viewed on the company’s interactive coverage map.
